Thoughts From A Restless Mind

The opinions of a modern flaneur

Now that the cold weather is all but behind us (trying not to jinx it guys), I’ll be shooting ALOT more.  Thanks to Mahsa for helping me with these spring time shots at Victoria Falls in beautiful Hamilton, Ontario.

P.S. Anyone interested in having their photo taken in the G.T.A. over the next few months, please let me know! I’ve got some cool things in the works!

Cheers,

Although I am more than ready to see winter go, a snowy landscape can make for a good backdrop.  Thanks to Brooke for refusing to look at the camera.

The first snowfall of the year happened ironically on boxing day.  Armed with my new 55mm-200mm Nikkor and lack of snow tires, I slid my way around Northshore and was able to snap this before I was interrupted by traffic.

The product of a restless saturday night and access to an LED lantern.  Cheers to Riley for being a good sport and letting me shoot him

After witnessing a performance like this, there is no doubt in my mind that JP Maurice is the unknown love child of Stevie Knicks.  He hits the nail on the head with his rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s classic ‘Dreams’, finally quelling my insatiable appetite for a great cover version.

I’ve wanted to shoot a Fall portrait series for a while now, and finally got the chance this past week.  Taking a divergent path from my typical night photography, I really enjoyed working with the many ways I could use the natural landscape to compliment the features of my model, Mahsa.

These photos are the result of a 2 hour trek through the Bruce Trail, a couple hundred shots, and numerous failed attempts to climb a tree… Mahsa.

Cheers,
